It’s a story of unlikely beginnings and beautiful accidents that no one saw coming. Enormous: The Gorge Story chronicles the evolution of a family-owned Washington winery - with a makeshift plywood stage – that eventually became "The Gorge," an internationally-renowned concert venue that has attracted over 7 million fans, and the world's biggest musicians, to a patch of rural farmland "150 miles from nowhere”.

Despite the long trek (and perhaps because of it), The Gorge has become "a pilgrimage for the artist and the audience," according to Jason Mraz, who first played at the amphitheater in its parking lot during one of Dave Matthews' epic three-day shows. And if you've ever been to The Gorge, you know exactly what he means. The setting is breathtaking, the performances are unparalleled, and the community among its fans is undeniable.

From origins to impact, this heartfelt documentary weaves together personal stories from music legends Dave Matthews, Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Jason Mraz, Dierks Bentley, and Steve Miller, with the emotional narratives of audience members that have built their lives around the venue. These stories reveal how a simple stage at an upstart winery ascended to become "The Gorge,” a Billboard, Pollstar and ACM winning music venue.

In addition to the full-length film, this one-night-only screening will feature exclusive, never-before-seen interviews with Hozier, Phantogram, and Portugal.The Man. The night will also include a world premiere of The Enormisodes – five mini-documentaries about The Gorge – along with a blooper reel featuring Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, and Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready, among others.

In a new film from the director of award-winning and critically acclaimed trilogy In Search of Mozart, In Search of Beethoven & In Search of Haydn Phil Grabsky brings us the music and life story of one of the world's favourite composers, Fryderyk Chopin. In a quest to discover new insights into Chopin, the man and his musical genius, Grabsky travelled the globe over four years recording performances by world-class musicians and interviewing respected historians and musicologists. Featuring Daniel Barenboim; Ronald Brautigam;; Jeremy Siepmann, Nelson Goerner; Kevin Kenner; Janusz Olejniczak; Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century conducted by Frans Brüggen; Leif Ove Andsnes; Lars Vogt. In this eagerly-awaited documentary, Phil Grabsky's biographical account of Haydn's life is a visual and aural extravaganza, including breath-taking performances by some of the world's most celebrated musicians. Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was one of the greatest musical innovators. Mozart and Beethoven greatly looked up to him as an inspiration and yet today in concert halls he is perhaps too often overshadowed in favour of his younger contemporaries. As Andras Schiff recently pointed out: 
“The world needs to appreciate him much more: of all the really great composers, he is still the most underrated”. By speaking to some of the greatest living exponents of Haydn’s music, this film redresses the balance and sheds light on the master and his work. Phil Grabsky hopes that Haydn will reach a wider audience who will be surprised, entertained and enthralled by Haydn’s wit, humanity and insatiable creativity. Haydn’s life spanned from the end of the Baroque period to Napoleon’s invasion of Vienna, outliving his younger friend Mozart. He was one of the most prolific composers, producing more than 100 symphonies, 64 quartets, 16 extant operas, 51 piano sonatas and the oratorios ‘The Creation’ and ‘The Seasons’. His seemingly light-hearted, placid temperament embraced the troubles and tribulations of life with casual humour and irony. Though blessed by an encouraging patron, running his own orchestra and opera company for some 30 years on the Esterhazy Estate, he was exposed to the usual upstairs-downstairs antics of an aristocratic household and follies of an artistic world. These years proved to be enormously productive, inspiring Haydn to write numerous works to please his patron and his eminent guests with witty theatrical evenings, jokes and the occasional prank. Phil Grabsky follows the same format of presenting the composer’s biography and music chronologically. Through intimate and revealing interviews with experts and detailed extracts from Haydn’s personal recollections, the audience gains tremendous insight not only into Haydn’s music but an appreciation of the artist himself. The emphasis of the film, as with the previous films, is on the performance – and interpretation – of Haydn’s music, with performances from the world’s greatest musicians and orchestras.

Without resorting to docu-drama or visual re-enactment, In Search of Mozart traces the composer’s life through his music and extensive correspondence. From K1a to K626 (Requiem), over 80 works are featured in chronological order, revealing striking parallels between the music and Mozart’s own experiences. Throughout, it is the music that takes centre stage, with the jigsaw of Mozart’s life fitting around it. With rigorous analysis from musicologists and experts such as Jonathan Miller, Cliff Eisen, Nicholas Till, Bayan Northcott and the late Stanley Sadie, a new, vivid impression of the composer emerges. It dispels the many common myths about Mozart’s genius, health, relationships, death and character, to present a new image, very different from Milos Forman’s Amadeus.

Narrated by Juliet Stevenson and with Mozart voiced by Samuel West, the film features interviews and performances with over 70 of the greatest exponents of Mozart’s music including: Christophe Rousset, Sir Roger Norrington, René Jacobs, Sir Charles Mackerras, Renée Fleming, Magdalena Kožená, Sandrine Piau, Ian Bostridge, Gerald Finley, Sir Thomas Allen, Imogen Cooper, Pierre Laurent Aimard, Leif ove Andsnes, Lang Lang and Škampa Quartet. Frans Bruggen’s Orchestra of 18th Century and Ronald Brautigam perform much of the orchestral repertoire but the film also includes live performances from the Vienna Philharmonic, Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, Academy of St Martin in the Fields, Salzburg Camerata, Bayerischen Rundfunks, Concerto Köln, Netherlands Opera, Staatskapelle Berlin and Prague Estates Theatre.
